THANKS TO OUR FRIENDS AT KROHN CONSERVATORY! A good time was had by all at the 75th Anniversary Tasting. The Conservatory was gracious in their support of local wineries. Wine tasting among the flowers, perfect weather - could not have been a better atmosphere. We made lots of new friends and saw familiar faces, too. Here's hoping this becomes an annual event!
HISTORIC LOVELAND CASTLE will host a fundraiser June 13 thru June 15 to cover the costs of necessary roof repairs to the castle. Please help preserve this regional treasure. WELCOME
Woodstone Creek opened as a farm winery in January, 1999. Two years later the winery relocated to a Cincinnati warehouse. Not the norm in SW Ohio, this urban winery concept is more common on the West Coast. Woodstone Creek Winery & Distillery is centrally located near downtown and major interstates, tucked between Xavier University, Hyde Park and Norwood in Evanston. This former factory-warehouse-turned-winery is also a meadery, port house and home to Ohio's first microdistillery.
The tasting room, once the factory president's paneled office, is open to the public every Saturday. It features a spectacular curved, 1930's maple and mahogany bar, art gallery and handcrafted jewelry.
Sample current releases for a small charge and purchase wine to go by the bottle or case. Wine is served in a keepsake wine glass to take home. Tastings are casual and appointments are not necessary during regular hours. Bus tour groups require two weeks advance reservations.
As a true artisan winery and boutique distillery, Woodstone Creek produces limited case lots of wine, mead and distilled spirit. We offer a full range of Ohio grape varietals from dry to sweet, honeywine from local honey and port containing our own potstilled brandy. Woodstone offers an unusual range of honeywine (7-10) from dry to sweet and some fortified with brandy. Woodstone's potstill produces brandy, five grain bourbon, single malt whisky, dark rum, smoky gin, beer schnaaps and vodka.
